===TIMER=== 20
===PART=== 1. READING :: 12 :: 1
===SECTION=== Passage 1
Have you ever dreamed of exploring the vast, endless ocean or challenging yourself to climb a mountain that touches the sky? Last summer, our school organized a special field trip to a beautiful coastal island. Up to now, it has been the most exhilarating experience of my life. Our adventure began when we were taught how to sail a yacht safely by professional instructors. The feeling of the wind against my face as we glided over the waves was absolutely brilliant.
After reaching the island, we decided to go snorkeling. I have never seen such an amazing underwater world before. We had the chance to explore the seabed and marvel at the colorful coral reef. There were thousands of different fish and unique marine species swimming around us. It was a thrilling and educational experience that you cannot simply learn by rote in a classroom.
The next morning, we set out to climb a tall, rocky mountain at the center of the island. Unfortunately, the path was slippery, and one of my classmates twisted his ankle. He felt completely helpless, but our strict yet caring teacher quickly came to help. Thanks to our excellent team building activity prior to the trip, we confidently carried his backpack and supported him all the way back to the campsite. This terrible incident turned into a memorable lesson about teamwork and friendship. Since that unforgettable trip, I have become much more aware of the importance of preserving the natural environment and wildlife. I have already signed up for the next eco-tour! I truly believe that hands-on experiences like this help students build confidence and soft skills far better than traditional indoor lessons. To capture these precious moments, we took hundreds of photos, which will certainly be featured prominently in our upcoming school yearbook. Have you ever joined such an exciting journey?

===SECTION=== Passage 2
High school is not just about academic assignments; it is a crucial time to develop your personality and interpersonal abilities. Recently, our school has initiated several programs to ensure that students do not just learn by rote but actually engage in practical experiences. For example, last month, we had the opportunity to tour a campus of a prestigious university. It was an amazing trip that inspired many of us to think seriously about our future careers.
However, school life also has its unpleasant moments. Up to now, bullying has been a serious issue in many educational environments. Some students feel helpless and embarrassed when they are targeted. To address this, our principal has enforced strict rules and organized awareness campaigns. I have recently joined a club that focuses on building soft skills and confidence to stand up against any bully. We even gave a performance during the morning assembly to highlight the negative impacts of such behavior. It was thrilling to speak in front of hundreds of people, and the feedback we received was brilliant.
Furthermore, competitions play a vital role in our development. I have already participated in an English speaking competition. Although I did not win the first prize, the experience was exhilarating. Preparing for the challenging assignment taught me how to manage my time effectively. All these experiences, both good and terrible, are recorded in our memories and our annual yearbook. They shape who we are and prepare us for the real world. Since the beginning of the year, I have grown tremendously. I have never felt more confident about my future. We have also organized an ethnic cultural week where students can see a gong show and discover prehistoric tribal artifacts. It is astounding how much you can learn when you actively participate. Exploring a site of knowledge is far better than simply reading about it.
