===PART=== 6. CLOZE TEST :: 16 :: 15

===DROPDOWN===
City life can be exciting, but it also creates many challenges.
In large cities, roads are often {peaceful|*packed|coastal|modern} during rush hour, and people may get {attracted|*stuck|liveable|careful} on the way to work or school. Because of this, many city authorities are trying to improve traffic {rate|*flow|leftover|arrival} by building better bus lines and expanding the metro system. The more people use public {*transport|pavement|cafeteria|crime}, the less pressure there is on the roads.
Another major problem is pollution. In some areas, air pollution causes itchy eyes and sore throats, while noise pollution makes daily life stressful. Dusty streets and a lack of green {waste|centre|*space|safety} also reduce the quality of life. To make cities more {*liveable|unreliable|ugly|terrible}, planners need to create more parks, improve public amenities, and encourage people to cut down {by|*on|with|for} using private cars. A city becomes much more pleasant when it is both convenient and {polluted|unsafe|*attractive|noisy}.

===DROPDOWN===
Many schools in big cities are trying to improve the environment for students.
Some have turned unused corners into quiet learning {*spaces|jams|eyes|rates}, while others have changed parts of the campus into green areas. In the cafeteria, students are encouraged to reduce food {crime|*waste|line|arrival} by taking only what they can finish and by using leftovers more wisely.
Traffic around schools is another issue. During drop-off and pick-up {noise|pollution|*time|centre}, the streets can become crowded and unsafe. To solve this, the city authority may carry {up|*out|by|off} plans such as creating a special bus line or adding clearer traffic lights. These changes can improve traffic safety and help the traffic {*flow|light|authority|immigrant} move more smoothly. The more carefully people follow the rules, the {more|most|*less|least} dangerous the roads become.
A good city should not be just a concrete {*jungle|station|city|transport} full of tall buildings. It should also offer public amenities, safe pavements, and places where young people can hang {over|*out|with|into} with friends.
